Here are some books that are especially good for beginners. Each book here is billed as being for "dummies", "idiots", and "total embiciles". Well… not really: Actually they are all meant to provide an introduction to the topics they cover. We'll see how they stack up.
There is a lot of confusing stuff when it comes to OOP. These books won't help, but at least you can say you tried.
